There are many countries other than India where Diwali is celebrated grandly just like in India. Here are 10 countries that celebrate the festival of lights with huge enthusiasm.

1. FIJI

Fiji owned a huge amount of Indian population, so here Diwali is a public holiday. Schools and colleges also remain closed on this day. In Fiji people celebrates Diwali with a lot of pomp and glory, they organize parties and exchange gifts.

2. INDONESIA

Not a lot of Indians stay in Indonesia but still, Diwali here is a big deal. Just like India here also all the rituals of Diwali are performed and followed. It is a huge treat to witness the festival of lights in Indonesia.

3. MALAYSIA

In Malaysia, Diwali is called Hari Diwali and the rituals are also a little different. On this day people take an oil bath in the morning and head toward the temples for prayers and ceremonial rites. All the temples are lavishly decorated with flowers for this special occasion. Devotees offer fruit and place coconut milk at altars.
