You may or may not be accustomed to the term PNPC. But, if you live in Kolkata, this is one term you would hear every now and then. PNPC quite effectively stands for ‘poro ninda, poro chorcha’.

Gossip is pretty much admired by the city. If you are bored and have nothing productive to do, or if have got too many burdens, and want to have some fun, what would you do? Listen to some music, watch movies, or cook some good food?

Well, the people of Kolkata would tend to choose PNPC instead. This very famous connotation connects people over gossiping about someone else whom either of them doesn’t like. They intend to bring out some juicy and spicy topics of daily life, picking up a person from the list that they wish to put forward for criticizing and discussing. It can go on and on, for hours, over snacks and drinks and finally coming to a conclusion that they hate the person or are jealous.

You would not only find this in your school, or college, or professional sector, but in the ration lines as well.

You might just creep out thinking of it. But, if you try doing so, perhaps the only good thing is you would feel fresh and revived after a PNPC session and can speak anything you want without being judged.

Alert! That judgment will eventually come back after some time. But, you won’t get to know that it did.
