After the large success of Manikarnika, Kangana Ranaut is set to play the role of India’s first female Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in an upcoming political drama. The actress shared the news together with her fans on Twitter, expressing her excitement over the identical. In a flipside tweet, Kangana quoted Khushwant Singh and wrote that Indira Gandhi’s ‘face was like when all the swords are drawn just surpassing the King’s command’.

 

Kangana Ranaut took to Twitter that she is going to play the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in an exceedingly film directed and written by Sai Kabir. The Films are going to be produced by Kangana’s Manikarnika Films.

 

She moreover replied to a tweet that shared an old photoshoot of hers, within which she will be worldly-wise to be seen dressed as the late PM of India. “This is a photoshoot about brave women that I did at the start of my career, little did I do know in some unspecified time in the future I will be worldly-wise to get to play the rememberable leader on screen,” she wrote.

In an interview, Kangana revealed that the movie will be subjected to a book and cannot be a biopic of Gandhi, but a period drama. However, the name of the typesetting has not been specified. Moreover, the movie will focus on events like the Emergency that happened within the country during Indira Gandhi’s tenure remoter as the Operation blue star that was administrated between 1 and 10 June 1984.
