Food You Should Never Eat If You Want to Lose Your Weight

Weight loss tips and campaigns are on everyone’s mouth now. People go gaga over weight-loss products, foods, medicines, and any methods that have ‘weight-loss’ tags on them.  And there are many food recommendations from best friends, colleagues, siblings, relatives which we accept to put into our daily routines. Another thing we bow to is the food products with ‘low calorie’ ‘No sugar added’ ‘Sugar-free’ ‘fat-free’ ‘organic’ ‘Zero cholesterol’ labels added with highlights and eye-catching fonts! We should make a thorough research of what exactly we must eat, and what exactly the food industries and their advertisements are feeding us. If anyone has a plan to undergo a weight-loss session, then he/she has to follow certain dietary plans recommended by a good dietician. And that person also has to do a lot of homework on what food products are actually beneficial for weight loss rather than falling under false marketing traps.

Here are some foods that must be strictly avoided if anybody wants to lose weight:

1. Fruit juices

Fruit juices are considered healthy. But it’s not as healthy as it seems. It takes many fruits to make one glass of fruit juice. And one is mostly drinking up all the calories instead of fruit fibers, that’s all get drained out while preparing the juice. In addition to that, packaged fruit juices contain sugars, added colors, preservatives, and also fructose. Fructose is converted to fat in the liver, which is certainly not good for the health.

Hence, stick to eating whole raw fresh fruits.

 

2. Popcorns

Popcorns are lightweight, crispy, and tasty as well. Hence many people munch on this as a lightweight snack thinking it will not do any effects on their weight. But it’s not true. The beautifully packaged microwavable popcorns actually contain fake butter flavors that make it more tasteful; in reality, it is diacetyl which can cause lung cancer if it’s consumed in high quantity. The packaging also contains perfluorochemicals which can cause chemicals.

It is better to buy plain raw and fresh kernels from any organic food store.

 

3. Table salt

Too much consumption of table salt is absolutely bad for health. Table salt in the diet can act as a leading factor for obesity. It can also lead to high blood pressure and heart attacks. Instead of reducing weights, it thickens the blood vessel walls, causing heart failure.  The salt manufacturers wash away all the natural minerals from the salt and add thousands of chemicals and preservatives such as potassium iodide, which is toxic for health. In fact, it is also bleached to appear purely white.

It is better to have natural salts or one can choose from the contents added which are written behind the packaging.

 

4. Packaged-meat

Packaged meat and factory-farmed meat claims to be all-natural, fat-free, and all the crowd-pleasing taglines. But in reality, it contains chemicals, additives, and preservatives. The animals are fed hormones, unnatural diets, and supplements. Medicines, antibiotics, chemicals like Prozac, arsenic, etc. are generally found in these meats if tested.

Purchase raw and fresh meat from the local farm stores to avoid health hazards.

 

5. Margarine

Margarine has been known for ages as the refined version of butter and that contains fewer amounts of saturated fats. But most of the margarine contains Trans fats, which are in fact the leading cause behind heart attacks. Even though trans fats are removed from margarine nowadays, it still has artificial fats which are unhealthy as well.

It is always better to have butter produced from grass-fed cows.

 

6. Vegetable Oils

The name ‘Vegetable’ in oils makes us think that it might be a healthy thing. But even vegetable oils are harmful in real life. It actually contains Omega 6 polyunsaturated fatty acids which are harmful if consumed in excess. Omega 3 and Omega 6 create eicosanoids in the body which causes inflammation.  Excess factory-made vegetable oils’ usage in cooking can cause heart diseases, cancer, birth defects, diabetes, high cholesterol, obesity, skin reactions, and much more.

Switch to coconut oils and olive oils.

 

So if you want to lose weight, have proper nutrition. Make sure you are having a proper diet and it’s naturally natural.
