Well, every one of us certainly has numerous demands to be fulfilled, and many opportunities to grasp. But, yet again we fear politics. The constitution of our country has given us the right to achieve our own demands and grow, but many of us avoid elections. Alas! The biggest suicide.
Voting is our right no matter which side we cast our vote on. Voting gives us the chance to select our own representatives to fulfill the purposes. Perhaps, voting is our democratic attribution. Our chance to make our home-ground a better place to live in. Unitedly!
Now, when we are in a situation where the majority of the population are being deprived of their basic needs, deprived of food, deprived of education, deprived of jobs, it is very easy to give life-long lectures on politics and sitting in a privileged A.C room. But I tell you, this election is gonna be something different… Something more worth it.
Post lockdown, we the citizen of Bengal have faced critical economic, social, and cultural crises. Many businesses broke down. Many workers while crossing the inter-state borders barefoot, lost their lives, myriads of people committed suicide. The city was in mess. Deep mess. Then came the monstrous Amphan cyclone rolling the cost of Sunderban upside down. Houses were destroyed, pastures were diminished, young children lost shelter, and trees fallen across the streets. A disastrous picture laid in front of us! Silent yet screaming to survive…
Perhaps, nearly everything is normalized now, but we haven’t recovered completely yet. Alert! The educational institutions in our state are still closed while film festivals are in a smooth workflow.
This election is going to be crucial for our state and its future. Rather, all of our future. Thus, on the pledge of bringing a democratic government and a non-communal government, vote one, vote all! It’s high time we take up our responsibilities and pave the way towards a better future for Bengal and our very own, City of Joy. Participate in the largest Festival of Democracy! Participate in the West Bengal Assembly Elections 2021!
