Spread the love

Loads of new food joints, snack bars, cafes have opened up in the city, which means we have so many more places to check out now. While recently-opened cafes like The Roastery Coffee House and The Daily have, in a short span of time, become crowd favorites, there are a lot newer ones that have a popup and we’d definitely recommend checking them out.

1. Jafri’s (Parnasree Behala, Kolkata)

The new star in the town – Jafri’s, offering Mughal dishes, right from Bengali’s ultimate biriyani with mutton chaap, multiple verities of Kebab’s with secret ingredients is their specialty, and many more. Yes! the cherry on the cake is ‘Firni’ that you must try at the end of your course. Everything was perfectly made plus a friendly ambiance for friends and family. So, if you are at Parnasree Behala or anywhere in the city and if you’re a fan of Mughal dishes then Jafri’s could be the best place for you. You can order online from Swiggy and Zomato. Besides they have their own free delivery services. This restaurant is a pick of the bunch for food lovers.

2. Hong Kong Bistro (Hindustan Park, Kolkata)

This restaurant is the city’s most milestone area right now – Hindusthan Park. Hongkong Bistro is the brand-new restaurant on the block and quite reasonable too. They serve Chinese, Thai, Seafood, and Oriental cuisines. The momos, noodles, chop suey, and fish dishes are quite popular among the crowd and a must-try. It’s perfect for lunch or dinner with family or your BFFs.

3. Rang De Basanti Dhaba (Behala, Kolkata)

People’s favorite and most popular Rang De Basanti Dhaba is coming up with three other outlets in the city in Behala, Madhyamgram, and Sodepur. Now, you won’t have to go too far away locations to hog on their food. Awesome right? The finest places to try Punjabi or North-Indian food, Rang De Basanti’s luscious kebabs cannot be given a miss.

4. Roll It Out (Park Street Area, Kolkata)

After having done well in Salt Lake, Roll It Out has opened another one in Park Street – it’s on the Flurry’s lane near the YWCA building. This joint serves rolls, Chinese and Continental dishes along with a wide selection of healthy juices, tea, and coffee. College goers, this eatery is perfect if you want to grab a quick meal in between classes or satiate those mini hunger pangs.

5. Nori (Rajarhat, Kolkata)

Nori has just inaugurated on the 31st floor of Westin Kolkata in Rajarhat and offers bird views (obviously!) of the city along with a specially curated Japanese and Pan-Asian menu. Enjoy a glance of Japan right here in Kolkata with a display wall featuring artifacts from the country and swirling bamboo mats that give the illusion of a ceiling against the decorative screens. Relish an array of Asian flavors along with delish desserts.
