To all the daily passengers and others, it is quite a great thing for all of us to hear about the extension of metro service in the city till Dakshineswar. The metro stoppage that lasted till Noapara has now two more stations to facilitate, Baranagar Road and Dakshineswar precisely. Perhaps, making the city more connected and convenient to travel through, just by the time of the clock.

Dakshineswar is famous for its Kali temple. Now, people from the extreme South can go there in just a few minutes. Besides, Dakshineswar is the central point connecting Kolkata’s neighboring districts i.e. Hooghly and North 24 Parganas. Thus covering transport connectivity from the extreme South 24 Parganas through the ‘City of joy’ to Hooghly and North 24 Parganas. This is indeed wonderful assimilation of city life and the outskirt towns.

Such an advancement would ultimately make Kolkata the eye of cultural assimilation, integrating cultural aspects of cities and towns into a central socio-cultural landscape. In such a backdrop, our city of joy would no longer have to remain distant from its neighbors or divided by the time gaps of trains or buses. Thereby, paving way for an effective communication channel that would allocate comfort and affordability to the people of diverse age groups, especially the daily officer goers and students coming to the city with hopes of learning something new and remarkable, in this fast and busy running era.
