The frontline workers are the living Gods! They are the backbone of the hospital. Being vulnerable and fighting with the Coronavirus is scary. They are working tirelessly to make the condition a little bit out of the danger line. But for now, the world seems dismayed. We need to salute the frontline workers.
International Nurses Day (IND) is celebrated worldwide on May 12. On this day, in the year 1974, the world came together to celebrate this human who takes care of our health. This day is the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale who was the founder of modern nursing.
As a matter of fact, each year themes are set to pay a tribute to those nurses. This year the theme for International Nurse Day (IND) 2021 is ‘Nurses: A Voice to Lead- A vision for future healthcare’. With the danger larking upon us, the world could not be any more grateful to our nurses.
World health organization (WHO) stated, ”Nurses account for more than half of all the world’s health workers, yet there is an urgent shortage of nurses worldwide with 5.9 million (2020) more nurses still needed, especially in low- and middle-income countries”.
When the world came to a point where things are going haywire, it is them who are fighting with all their lives. The war is still on, it would be tough to win the battle against the deadly second wave of Coronavirus if we don’t support them.
