The Debut of Bratya Basu’s ‘Dictionary’, Starring Abir, Nusrat

After about 10 years, the Minister of Science and Technology of the state made a Bengali film. ‘Dictionary’ is a film directed by Bratya Basu based on two short stories by Buddhadev Guhar.

 

The new year opened the page of the new dictionary. The premiere of the movie ‘Dictionary’ directed by Bratya Basu after the Corona episode. An unknown dictionary of relationships debuted in front of the audience at Quest Mall.

 

‘Dictionary’ is a touching story of a marriage, where Abir Chatterjee plays an introverted forest officer Ashoke Sanyal while Nusrat Jahan plays his wife Smita. The movie also portrays the way during which extramarital affairs impact the lives of all parties involved. Bratya Basu said, ‘I started working after 10 years. It’s too late due to Corona.’

 

Abir Chatterjee and Nusrat Jahan have acted in Buddhadev Guhar’s story ‘Swami Howa’ and ‘Baba Howa’ played by Bangladeshi actor Mosharraf Karim. Actress Nusrat Jahan says, ‘I perform one way as a politician, another way as an actor. Both have 100% effort. I have never done a character like Smitha before. The expectation of everyone from the director to the crew is that ‘Dictionary’ should show the new way of relationship and make the audience of Bengali film happy again.
