One can’t ignore the display of those micro toy cars that stands the testimony to the bygone era! Established way back in 1954, the Indian Hobby Centre was spread in cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore. Sadly, the Kolkata branch survived. Back in their early days, this store uses to import hobby sets from renowned British labels like Meccano and Hornby and they even owned a toy factory in Howrah. Going by history, back in the 1980s, the toy store even introduced a restaurant and an ice cream parlor which will support the revenue system to run it smoothly.
Even after so many years, this store continues to be the one-stop destination for all kinds of toys, be it battery-operated or motorized. If you’re a fan of aeromodelling like RC planes, catapult glider kits, the chuck glider kits, tow-line gliders, and free flight models then this shop is for you. Let us make it more interesting for coin collectors.
