Kolkata the ‘City of Joy’ itself is a wonderful place to go and explore. Kolkata grew up from its initiation with a mixed flavor of religion and culture. Kolkata is a metropolitan city, it holds an important historical and political importance among all other important cities of India. Actually, the mixed cultural vibe makes it liberal from its heart. Kolkata has been regarded as the cultural capital and intellectual hub of India. There are museums, planetariums, library, “Eden gardens”, the heaven of the cricket world, in the central part of the city — Dharmatala(Esplanade), the biggest football stadium in Asia, the “Yuvabharati Krirangyan”. You can enjoy your weekend by watching a play in any of its famous theatre halls near Shyambazar or academics of fine arts also there are many of multiplex around all over the city as well as traditional cinema hall like Nandan, Minerva, Joya, etc, also parks, like Eco-Park, Nicco-Park, Science City are a very delicate place for enjoying your days with family or friends. The traveling time within the city being reduced by metro railway service from north to south through in between the heart of the city.

The peoples of this city are amicable and the living cost is less comparing others cities in India, you can get a veg dinner for only 20 to 30 rupees. But that does not mean that the lifestyle is very poor, you can carry an expensive life in salt lake and besides the park street area, there are so many expensive hotels, bars, etc.

The main thing, the security, this city is much securer than others both in the day also at night. The gender-equal minds of Bengals are an important point to note. The best thing about this city is, there is no problem of a cast and religious division peoples live in communal harmony.

If you are an outsider or non-Bengali who wants to live or spending some years of your life in Kolkata I promise you, you will fall in love with “the city of joy.”
