Book lovers are currently searching for that answer. The Publishers and Booksellers Guild gave them some reassurance. The organizers of the book fair said that they are optimistic about organizing the International Kolkata Book Fair. However, it will not be scheduled for January-February. The guild is in regular touch with the authorities regarding the organization of the book fair. Waiting for the green signal.

Tridib Chatterjee (Guild President) said, “We are confident of organizing the International Kolkata Book Fair this time. Except for things just like the participation of international guests, we can’t say exactly when.” However, with the number of visitors come to the book fair, there is confusion about how to control it in the Corona situation. Last time, about 2.5 million people gathered at the book fair. Tridib Chatterjee also said that it is very challenging to organize properly proper manner. He said, “How can we control the influx of such a large number of book lovers? It’s not a small district book fair, rather, it’s a giant event. All these things have to be kept in mind while planning the whole thing.”

Perhaps, there are multiple questions about when the book fair will take place, if not in January-February. In keeping with the concerned quarters, the state assembly polls are going to be held from March this year. Will it be possible to organize a book fair in the slightest degree within the intense heat of the voting process? Then it rained again. At that time, it will be more difficult to organize a book fair. According to The Times Of India, the International Kolkata Book Fair could possibly happen in June 2021.
