When discussing cancer, the first question that comes to mind is- what kind of cancer is it? Or in which parts of the body can this deadly disorder occur?

The answer is complicated! Those who are involved with medical science can easily answer it! But it is not possible for ordinary people like us to say that in a hurry. And from this place, every year on February 4, World Cancer Day is celebrated all over the world. The purpose is the same – to make everyone aware of this disorder as far as possible!

In fact, there are still many misconceptions about cancer in our society. The first of these is that once cancer occurs, the patient’s destiny is death, not cure. This belief breaks the morale of the patient and his family, where we lose half the battle. But it is now scientifically true that cancer can be cured if caught in the very early stages. The significance of this day is to make us aware of all these aspects. To this end, every year on February 4, processions are organized by various organizations in different parts of the world, seminars are called, and various events are organized to restore the morale of cancer patients and raise the cost of treatment.

The theme of World Cancer Day changes every year. Not without knowing the history of this day before coming to that word!

1. The Union for International Cancer Control or UICC was established in 1993. World Cancer Day has been celebrated on their initiative since 2003.

2. Then the World Health Organization or WHO came to the side of this organization. Many more organizations in the world are added.

3. The first World Assembly was convened in Paris to raise awareness of the disease.

4. At the Paris meeting, a 10-chapter paragraph was written on behalf of the world’s government institutions. So that it was written how to work to improve the quality of life of a cancer patient. It is called the Charter of Paris Against Cancer.

This year’s World Cancer Day theme is I Am and I Will. It is not difficult to understand that the role of one person is being emphasized this year for the purpose of changing society and raising awareness about this disease. What could be a greater truth than to be aware of oneself and bring about positive change in society only if one is aware of oneself!
