1. Victoria Memorial
This is a beautiful white Makrana marble colonial monument that has green grass lawns and a huge pond on its premises. It was built between 1906 and 1921 in honor of Queen Victoria. It is now a museum that showcases paintings, the armory gallery, and smoothly sculptured statues of British personalities that are present all around this historically rich building.
Highlights:
. The angel situated on the top of the central dome, namely the Angel of Victory.
. Couples can feel the romance while sitting around the vast pond on small colorful benches or lounging on the soft lawns.

2. Park Street
This street is probably the most popularly known street in Kolkata, and for good reason! It is filled with fun places from restaurants like Peter Cat to breakfast spots like Flurys, book junctions like Oxford Bookstore, major hotels like The Park Hotel, and of course the coolest pubs like Hakuna Matata, Trincas, Mocambo, and Moulin Rouge. This street also called the street that never sleeps, is the liveliest and most inviting street in Kolkata.

. Visit St. Xavier’s College, an autonomous university that is almost 157 years old.

3. Mother House
This was the dwelling of Saint and Mother Teresa of Kolkata. A blessed woman who gave her life in the hope of saving several hundreds of children, and people from poverty-stricken lives. She founded the Missionaries of Charity congregation.

. Mother Teresa’s tomb, a place to offer up prayers.

4. Eco Park
Eco-Tourism Park is a huge park that has a load of fun things to do, from boating, to kayaking, jumping about inside zorbs, on the ground and water, cycling, or just chilling and looking out at the mighty water body in the center of the park. There’s nothing you can’t do in Eco Park.

5. Princep Ghat
Every city has a hangout where people come to enjoy the cool breeze while walking down a promenade beside a beautiful river. In Kolkata, it’s Princep Ghat. It was built in 1841 in honor of Anglo-Indian scholar James Princep. This spot exhibits a huge white structure with tall pillars, a 2-kilometer long promenade filled with several food stalls all along with it, a stunning view of the Howrah bridge, and a breathtaking view of the Hooghly river.
Highlights:
. Jhal muri and Phuchka from any of the street vendors are mouth-wateringly delicious.
. The boat rides on the Hooghly river are extremely romantic and peaceful.
