International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8 every year. Women all over the world celebrate this day as a major occasion. It is an UN-recognized event and the history of the struggle for the rights of women workers is behind the celebration of this day. In 1906, 15,000 women marched in New York City demanding suffrage, better pay, and shorter working hours. A year later, in 1909, the Socialist Party of America declared the first National Women’s Day.

1. Take some time off from work
