Cinema halls across India are permitted to work at 100% spaciousness. excellent news for theatre owners. The Ministry of Home Affairs on 30th Jan allowed cinema halls to control at 100% seating occupancy from February 1 onwards. The Ministry of data & Broadcasting also issued a brand new set of standard operating procedures for cinema halls and theatres to stop the spread of COVID19.
Below are some general guidelines:
- The adequate physical distancing of a minimum of 6 feet to be followed outside the auditoriums, common areas, and waiting areas in any respect times.
- Respiratory etiquettes to be strictly followed. This includes the strict practice of covering mouth and nose while coughing/sneezing with a tissue/handkerchief/flexed elbow and eliminating used tissues properly.
- Spitting shall be strictly prohibited.
- Availability of hand sanitizers, preferably within the touch-free mode, at entry and exit points furthermore as common areas within the premises.
- Use of face covers/masks to be made mandatory in any respect times.
- Self-monitoring of health by all and reporting any symptoms at the earliest to authorities.
- Installation & use of the Aarogya Setu App shall be advised to any or all.

The I&B order also stated that seating arrangement inside the auditorium of the cinemas/theatres/multiplexes is to be allowed up to 100% spaciousness from the present 50% seating capacity.
